Family Protection Trusts for Your Children and Grandchildren
If you have assets and property that you want to pass onto your children or grandchildren, Family Protection Trusts are a great option. Family Protection Trusts allow you to gift assets or evenly divide your estate for your children while setting the parameters.
Your Trustee will manage and maintain your Trust for minors and potentially for your adult children. It will allow them to determine how to use the assets.
Added Benefits for Family Protection Trusts
Family Protection Trusts protect the beneficiary’s assets through different life events for your children and grandchildren.
Divorce
A Trust can also be in place should a divorce occur with your loved ones.
Lawsuits
If the beneficiary ever has a lawsuit against them (or they are sued), the Family Protection Trusts include high-level protection for the assets to be taken if a monetary judgment is entered against them. In comparison, inherited assets, such as a Will, are “fair game” and could be taken away from the beneficiary.
Avoid Estate Taxes
Family Protection Trusts will then not be a part of the estate at your passing, saving your loved ones the payment of Inheritance Tax.
Trusts – Protecting Your Assets for the Future
Our experienced attorneys will help you create a Trust that will protect your assets and estate and help ensure your wishes. Then at the same time, helping to save your beneficiaries court fees, time, and money that they may experience if there’s no Trust in place.
